
Veteran & Community Grants for Sunshine Coast

Federal Member for Wide Bay, Warren Truss, has welcomed Federal Government funding to the Returned Services League of Australia (Queensland Branch) Tewantin-Noosa Sub-branch and the War Widows Guild Tewantin and Noosa Sub-branch.The Tewantin-Noosa RSL will receive $12,312 for tools, entertainment equipment and materials for their Men’s Shed.
The Tewantin and Noosa Sub-branch of the War Widows Guild will receive $5,071 to fund a series of bus trips to increase social interaction and participation.
The Veteran & Community Grants program aims to maintain and improve the independence and quality of life of members of the veteran community by providing financial assistance for activities, services and projects that sustain or enhance well being of veterans.
“The members of the Tewantin-Noosa RSL and Tewantin and Noosa War Widows Guild Sub-branched are to be congratulated on the success of their applications,” Mr Truss said.
