Saluting Their Service Grant for Gympie RSL

15th December, 2008
Federal Member for Wide Bay, Warren Truss, has welcomed Federal Government funding of $2,398 to the Gympie Sub-branch of the Returned & Services League of the Australia, to help fund the replacement of the existing plaque titled “Cost of War” on the Gympie Memorial Lane.

“Saluting Their Service encourages community participation in commemorative activities by honouring the service and sacrifice of those who have served Australia in wars, conflicts and peace operations,” Mr Truss said.

“The members of the Gympie RSL Sub-branch are to be congratulated on the success of their application which adds to the significant federal funding which has already been provided to the Memorial Lane project.”
