$164,000 for BIEDO’s Beating the Blues project

Federal Member for Wide Bay, Warren Truss has been advised of a $164,000 Australian Government grant made to Burnett Inland Economic Development Organisation for its Beating the Blues: Suicide and Depression Management project.“The project will be managed from the organisation’s office in Goomeri and will extend to all communities in the Burnett region,” Mr Truss said.
The project aims to create systems to monitor and manage depression and coordinate preventative action and intervention strategies.
