More Home and Community Care Funding for Maryborough

12th November, 2010
Federal Member for Wide Bay, Warren Truss, today welcomed the announcement of $628,833 in enhanced funding for Home and Community Care (HACC) Program providers in Maryborough.

“An additional $628,833 will be paid to HACC providers that operate from Maryborough to help them deliver services throughout the region,” Mr Truss said.

“HACC funding supports a range of services that enable frail aged people and young people with disabilities to remain in their own homes with the support of their family.

“We know the majority of people prefer to continue living in their own homes for as long as possible, and HACC service providers can give people a higher level of independence, comfort and security.

“This funding will assist these organisations in the delivery of services which maintain and improve the quality of life for older and disabled Australians.”
