$2.8 million for community service organisations in Wide Bay

Federal Member for Wide Bay, Warren Truss, has advised of $2,828,546 in Australian Government funding that has been provided to community service organisations under the Commonwealth’s Family Support Program.“The funding will help local service providers to deliver programs which support younger parents, their children and expectant mothers, by helping them to develop their parenting skills,” Mr Truss said.
Funds will also support counselling services to help vulnerable and at-risk children and families.
“Activities supported through the Family Support Program aim to improve the wellbeing and development of children by encouraging stronger families and communities.”
