
Funding to help provide social opportunities for Tewantin Noosa veterans

Federal Member for Wide Bay and Deputy Prime Minister Warren Truss, today announced that the Tewantin Noosa Legacy Laurel Club will receive $7,620 from the Federal Coalition Government’s Veteran and Community Grants program.“The funds will be used by the Tewantin Noosa Legacy Laurel Club to conduct a series of bus trips, providing greater social opportunities for local veterans,” Mr Truss said.
The Veteran and Community Grants program supports and improves the independence and quality of life of veterans by providing financial assistance for activities, services and projects.
“Australia’s veterans have served their country with pride and distinction, securing peace and freedom for our nation.
“Many veterans continue to help others and strengthen their communities. This grant is one way in which we show our respect for their service to our country and support their ongoing contributions to the community,” Mr Truss said.
