17th November, 2014
Federal Member for Wide Bay and Deputy Prime Minister Warren Truss has today extended his congratulations to the Barambah Environmental Education Centre, which has been awarded a $1,079 funding grant to improve its facilities. “I welcome this new funding to help implement a new waste management system at the Barambah Environmental Education Centre, which will enhance its recycling capabilities and reduce its contribution to landfill waste,” Mr Truss said.
“I would also like to acknowledge the good work of the Keep Australia Beautiful Association, which has provided the funding for these upgrades through its Beverage Container Recycling Grants, in partnership with Coca Cola South Pacific.
“I am pleased to see this money being invested in the Wide Bay region, and I commend this effort to expand recycling efforts in our local communities and improve the environmental health of our region,” Mr Truss said.
